मुमोह सारथिस्तस्य रथशकक््त्या समाहत: । स रथोपस्थमासाद्य मुहूर्त संन्यषीदत,द्रोणकी रथशक्तिसे आहत हो सारथि मूर्च्छिंत हो गया। वह रथकी बैठकमें पहुँचकर वहाँ दो घड़ीतक चुपचाप बैठा रहा
mumohā sārathis tasya rathaśaktyā samāhataḥ | sa rathopastham āsādya muhūrtaṃ saṃnyasīdat ||
मुमोह सारथिस्तस्य रथशक्त्या समाहतः । स रथोपस्थमासाद्य मुहूर्तं संन्यषीदत् ॥
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the fragility of human capacity amid warfare: even those supporting a warrior’s role (like a charioteer) can be suddenly incapacitated, showing how violence disrupts order and duty (dharma) on the battlefield.
A charioteer is struck by a chariot-thrown spear (śakti), becomes dazed/unconscious, reaches the chariot-seat, and sits there silently for a short while, unable to perform his function.
