रथमार्गप्रमाणं तु कौन्तेयो निशितै: शरै: । चकार यत्र पन्थानं ययौ येन जनार्दन:,कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन अपने तीखे बाणोंद्वारा वहाँ रथके जानेयोग्य रास्ता बना लेते थे, जिससे श्रीकृष्ण रथ लिये आगे बढ़ जाते थे
rathamārgapramāṇaṃ tu kaunteyo niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ | cakāra yatra panthānaṃ yayau yena janārdanaḥ ||
रथमार्गप्रमाणं तु कौन्तेयो निशितैः शरैः । चकार यत्र पन्थानं ययौ येन जनार्दनः ॥
संजय उवाच
Power and skill, even in war, are to be governed by purpose and restraint: Arjuna’s archery is portrayed as disciplined action used to enable a chosen dharmic objective—supporting Kṛṣṇa’s advance—rather than as mere violence.
In the thick of battle, Arjuna uses precise, sharp arrows to clear or open a route of chariot-width, allowing Kṛṣṇa (as charioteer) to drive the chariot forward along that newly made passage.
