नान्यस्य समरे राजन् गतपूर्वस्तथा रथ: । यथा ययावर्जुनस्य मनो$भिप्रायशीघ्रग:,राजन! समरभूमिमें दूसरे किसीका रथ पहले कभी उस प्रकार तीव्र गतिसे नहीं चला था, जैसे अर्जुनका रथ मनकी अभिलाषाके अनुरूप शीघ्र गतिसे चलता था
sañjaya uvāca | nānyasya samare rājan gatapūrvas tathā rathaḥ | yathā yayāv arjunasya mano'bhiprāya-śīghragaḥ ||
नान्यस्य समरे राजन् गतपूर्वस्तथा रथ: । यथा ययावर्जुनस्य मनोऽभिप्रायशीघ्रग: ॥
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the power of alignment between inner resolve (mano'bhiprāya) and effective action: when intention, skill, and means (the chariot) are perfectly coordinated, decisive results follow—an ethically charged reminder that agency in war depends not only on weapons but on disciplined will.
Sanjaya reports to King Dhritarashtra that Arjuna’s chariot advanced with unprecedented speed on the battlefield, moving as if it instantly obeyed Arjuna’s very intention—emphasizing Arjuna’s exceptional prowess and the momentum of events in the Drona Parva conflict.
