गदां प्रगृह्मा भिषपपात संख्ये जयद्रथं भीमसेन: पदाति: । तब धनुष-बाण फेंककर भयसे दबे हुए युधिष्ठिरको देखकर भीमसेन गदा लेकर युद्धमें पैदल ही राजा जयद्रथपर टूट पड़े
gadāṃ pragṛhya bhīmaḥ papāta saṅkhye jayadrathaṃ bhīmasenaḥ padātiḥ |
सञ्जय उवाच—युधिष्ठिरं भयाविष्टं धनुर्बाणौ परित्यक्तं दृष्ट्वा, भीमसेनः पदातिः गदां प्रगृह्य संख्ये जयद्रथं अभिपपात।
