पुनश्चापि सुसंरब्ध: शरै: शतसहसख्रश: । कृष्णयोर्युधि संरब्धो भीष्मो5थावारयद् दिश:
punaś cāpi susaṃrabdhaḥ śaraiḥ śata-sahasraśaḥ | kṛṣṇayor yudhi saṃrabdho bhīṣmo ’thāvārayad diśaḥ ||
पुनश्चापि सुसंरब्धः शरैः शतसहस्रशः । कृष्णयोर्युधि संरब्धो भीष्मोऽथावारयद्दिशः ॥
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how intense anger and martial prowess can dominate the battlefield, creating overwhelming pressure; ethically, it invites reflection on the need for inner restraint even while fulfilling one’s duty (dharma) in a violent context.
Sañjaya describes Bhīṣma renewing his assault: he releases a massive volley of arrows and effectively hems in Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna, making it seem as though all directions around them are covered and obstructed by his missile-storm.
