Educational Q&A

Even a righteous ruler must actively seek wise guidance at critical moments. Yudhiṣṭhira’s swift approach to Kṛṣṇa highlights dharmic leadership: humility before moral complexity, reliance on sound counsel, and responsibility toward allies and the wider polity.

Sañjaya narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira, along with his brothers and the assembled allied kings, hastens to Kṛṣṇa (Janārdana). The scene sets up a consultation—an urgent movement toward Kṛṣṇa as strategist and moral anchor on the eve of major decisions in the war.
