सात्यकिश्नेकितानश्न तेषां गोप्ता महारथ: । धृष्टद्युम्नस्तत: पश्चात् पञ्चालैरभिरक्षित:,सात्यकि और चेकितान भी उन्हींके साथ थे। पांचाल वीरोंसे सुरक्षित महारथी धृष्टद्युम्न उन सबके पीछे रहकर सबकी रक्षा करते रहे
sātyakiś cekitānaś ca teṣām goptā mahārathaḥ | dhṛṣṭadyumnaḥ tataḥ paścāt pañcālair abhirakṣitaḥ ||
सात्यकिश्चेकितानश्च तेषां गोप्ता महारथः । धृष्टद्युम्नस्ततः पश्चात् पाञ्चालैरभिरक्षितः ॥
संजय उवाच
Even in warfare, dharma expresses itself as disciplined guardianship: capable leaders take responsibility for the safety of the whole, coordinating protection rather than seeking only personal glory.
Sañjaya describes the Pāṇḍava-side arrangement: Sātyaki and Cekitāna are present with the group, while Dhṛṣṭadyumna stays behind as a rear-guard protector, supported by Pāñcāla warriors, ensuring the formation is defended from the back.
