भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

ववर्ष शरवर्षेण मेघो वृष्ट्या यथाचलौ । पुरुषसिंह श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनको रथपर बैठे देख शान्तनुनन्दन भीष्मने पुनः उनपर बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी, मानो मेघ दो पर्वतोंपर जलकी धारा गिरा रहा हो
vavarṣa śaravarṣeṇa megho vṛṣṭyā yathācalau |
सञ्जय उवाच—शान्तनुनन्दनः भीष्मः श्रीकृष्णार्जुनौ रथस्थौ दृष्ट्वा, पुनः शरवर्षेण तौ अवाकिरत्; यथा मेघो वृष्ट्या अचलौ।
