Multiple Defensive Engagements to Protect Bhīṣma
आरुरोह रथं तूर्ण दुर्मुखस्य विशाम्पते । प्रजानाथ! घोड़ोंके मारे जानेपर महारथी चित्रसेन तुरंत ही रथसे कूद पड़े और दुर्मुखके रथपर आरूढ़ हो गये
āruroha rathaṃ tūrṇaṃ durmukhasya viśāmpate |
आरुरोह रथं तूर्णं दुर्मुखस्य विशाम्पते । हतेष्वश्वेषु चित्रसेनो महारथी स्वात् रथात् क्षिप्रमवप्लुत्य दुर्मुखरथमारुरोह ॥
संजय उवाच
In the midst of war, presence of mind and swift, practical action are essential to uphold one’s role and responsibility; maintaining readiness and continuity in duty is portrayed as a key martial virtue.
