Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
virajo brahmasadanaṁ gaccha vipra yathāsukham | sarveṣāṁ vo dvijaśreṣṭha divyaṁ yānam upasthitam ||
The verse honors spiritual purity and merit: those who are ‘viraja’—untainted by rajas (passion)—are fit for Brahmaloka, and righteous persons are respectfully guided toward higher realms.
A father-in-law addresses a group of brāhmaṇas, granting them leave and directing them to proceed comfortably to Brahmā’s abode, indicating that a divine vehicle has arrived to carry them.
