यम: पितृणामधिप: सरितामथ सागर: । अम्भसां वरुणो राजा मरुतामिन्द्र उच्यते,यमराज पितरोंके और समुद्र सरिताओंके स्वामी हैं। वरुण जलके और इन्द्र मरुदगणोंके स्वामी कहे जाते हैं
yamaḥ pitṝṇām adhipaḥ saritām atha sāgaraḥ | ambhasāṁ varuṇo rājā marutām indra ucyate ||
