तस्य स्थानानि दृष्टानि त्रिविधानीह शास्त्रत: । कर्मभूमिरियं भूमिर्यत्र तिष्ठन्ति जन्तव:,शास्त्रके अनुसार जीवके तीन प्रकारके स्थान देखे गये हैं (मृत्युलोक, स्वर्गलोक और नरक)। यह मर्त्यलोककी भूमि जहाँ बहुत-से प्राणी रहते हैं, कर्मभूमि कहलाती है

Transliteration

tasya sthānāni dṛṣṭāni trividhānīha śāstrataḥ | karmabhūmir iyaṃ bhūmir yatra tiṣṭhanti jantavaḥ ||

Translation

तस्य स्थानानि दृष्टानि त्रिविधानीह शास्त्रतः । कर्मभूमिरियं भूमिर्यत्र तिष्ठन्ति जन्तवः ॥ शास्त्रप्रमाणतः देहिनः त्रिविधाः गतयः प्रसिद्धाः। इयं तु भूमिः—यत्र जन्तवो निवसन्ति—कर्मभूमिरिति कथ्यते, यत्र कर्माणि क्रियन्ते फलप्रवृत्तिश्च जायते ॥
