अप्रकाशान्यप्रियाणि चकारास्य वृकोदर: । जआज्ञां प्रत्यहरच्चापि कृतज्ै: पुरुषै: सदा
aprakāśāny apriyāṇi ca cakārāsya vṛkodaraḥ | ājñāṃ pratyaharac cāpi kṛtajñaiḥ puruṣaiḥ sadā ||
अप्रकाशान्यप्रियाणि चकारास्य वृकोदरः । आज्ञां प्रत्यहरच्चापि कृतज्ञैः पुरुषैः सदा ॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that fulfilling dharma and rightful authority can involve difficult, unpleasant, and confidential actions; such tasks should be handled with discretion and entrusted to reliable, duty-conscious people.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes Bhīma acting as an effective executor: he undertakes certain sensitive and disagreeable tasks on someone’s behalf and ensures orders are implemented through loyal, obligation-remembering agents.
