नारद उवाच
The verse presents tapas (disciplined austerity and self-restraint) as a transformative power: even a worldly ruler, by completing intense spiritual practice, can attain a higher divine state, implying that ethical discipline and inner mastery outrank mere political power.
Nārada reports that a radiant king, after completing blazing austerities to their utmost limit, reaches and attains Indra’s abode—signaling the fruition of his spiritual effort and the reward of his accumulated merit.
