अन्वयु: पाण्डवास्तां तु सभृत्यान्त:पुरास्तथा । ततः प्रमृज्य साश्रूणि पुत्रान् वचनमब्रवीत्,पाण्डव भी अपने सेवकों और अन्तःपुरकी स्त्रियोंके साथ उनके पीछे-पीछे जाने लगे। तब उन्होंने आँसू पोंछकर अपने पुत्रोंसे इस प्रकार कहा
anvayuḥ pāṇḍavās tāṃ tu sabhṛtyāntaḥpurās tathā | tataḥ pramṛjya sāśrūṇi putrān vacanam abravīt |
तामन्वयुः पाण्डवाः सभृत्यान्तःपुरास्तथा। ततः सा प्रमृज्य साश्रूणि पुत्रान् वचनमब्रवीत्॥
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in intense sorrow, one should act with composure and speak with responsibility. The verse highlights disciplined grief—tears are acknowledged, yet duty requires clear speech and steadiness, especially when guiding one’s children in a moment of transition.
The Pāṇḍavas proceed behind her, accompanied by servants and the women of the palace. Then, after wiping away tears, she turns to her sons and begins to address them—introducing an important counsel or instruction that follows in the next lines.
