खमावृत्योदपानस्य कृकलास: स्थितो महान् । तस्य नास्ति समुद्धर्तेत्येतत् कृष्णे न््यवेदयन्,उन्होंने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे निवेदन किया--“भगवन्! एक बहुत बड़ा गिरगिट कुफएँमें पड़ा है, जो उस कुएँके सारे आकाशको घेरकर बैठा है; पर उसे निकालनेवाला कोई नहीं है!
kham āvṛtyodapānasya kṛkalāsaḥ sthito mahān | tasya nāsti samuddhartety etat kṛṣṇe nyavedayan |
कूपस्य मुखाकाशं समावृत्य महान् कृकलासः स्थित इति; तं समुद्धर्तुं न कश्चनास्तीति कृष्णाय न्यवेदयन्।
भीष्म उवाच
