अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā

यथा पत्याश्रयो धर्म: स्त्रीणां लोके सनातन: । सदैव सा गतिर्नान्या तथास्माकं द्विजातय:

yathā patyāśrayo dharmaḥ strīṇāṃ loke sanātanaḥ | sadaiva sā gatir nānyā tathāsmākaṃ dvijātayaḥ ||

भीष्म उवाच—यथा लोके स्त्रीणां सनातनो धर्मः पत्याश्रय एव नित्यं प्रतिष्ठितः, तथैव अस्माकं द्विजातयः सदैव शरणं भवन्ति; तेषां विना नान्यत् किञ्चिद् अस्माकं आश्रयस्थानम्।
