Cyavana–Kuśika Dialogue on Lineage, Conflict, and Transmission
na ca tau cakratuḥ krodhaṁ dampatī sumahāmatī | tayoḥ samprekṣator eva punar antarhito 'bhavat ||
The verse highlights kṣamā and dama—refusing to manifest anger even when confronted—implying that moral strength lies in restraint rather than reaction.
A sage who had appeared before a highly intelligent husband and wife disappears again (becomes invisible) while they watch, and the couple does not respond with anger.
