devaśarmā mahābhāgas tato bharatasattama | (ity uktvā) mahābhāgo devaśarmā munir yajñaṁ kartuṁ yayau ||
ततो देवशर्मा महाभागो भरतसत्तम । एवमुक्त्वा यज्ञकर्तुं जगाम मुनिसत्तमः ॥
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic principle that right counsel and sacred intent should be followed by disciplined action—here symbolized by the sage’s departure to perform yajña, a duty-oriented act meant to uphold cosmic and social order.
Bhishma narrates that after speaking (in the preceding context), the revered sage Devaśarmā leaves to undertake a sacrificial ritual, marking a transition from instruction to the performance of a dharmic rite.
