Chapter 34
तपस्विनश्न ये नित्यं कौमारब्रह्मचारिण: । तपसा भावितात्मानो दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति ते,जो तपस्वी, आबालब्रह्मचारी और तपस्यासे शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले हैं वे दुर्गमण संकटसे पार हो जाते हैं
tapasvinaś ca ye nityaṃ kaumāra-brahmacāriṇaḥ | tapasā bhāvitātmāno durgāṇy atitaranti te ||
नारद उवाच—ये तपस्विनो नित्यं कौमारब्रह्मचारिणः, तपसा भावितात्मानो, ते दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति।
नारद उवाच
Steady brahmacarya and sustained tapas refine the mind and character; this inner purification becomes the strength by which one overcomes severe dangers and difficult life-situations.
Nārada is instructing by praising the spiritual efficacy of ascetic discipline: true tapasvins—especially lifelong brahmacārins—develop an empowered, purified inner self that can carry them through crises that would overwhelm others.
