ऋग्गवेदे वर्तते चाग्रया श्रुतिर्यस्थ महात्मन:
ṛgvede vartate cāgrayā śrutir yatra mahātmanaḥ |
ऋग्वेदे महात्मनः तस्याग्र्या श्रुतिः प्रथिता। राजन्, तत्र ब्राह्मणाः गृत्समदं महर्षिं बहु मानयन्ति; स ब्रह्मर्षिर्गृत्समदः तेजस्वी ब्रह्मचारी चासीत्।
भीष्म उवाच
