सिद्ध उवाच
Steadfastness (dhairya) combined with reverent approach to a sacred tīrtha is praised as leading to exalted spiritual attainment; the verse presents the Gaṅgā as supremely purifying and merit-bestowing, so that those who relinquish the body there are said to reach a divine status.
A Siddha describes the Gaṅgā in highly auspicious metaphors (milk- and ghee-like, bountiful, swift, hard to ford) and declares the फल (result): resolute men who go to her and abandon the body there attain equality with the gods.
