सिद्ध उवाच
Worldly supports—offspring, wealth, and even ordinary ritual action with its expected rewards—cannot match the supreme, enduring merit associated with reaching the Gaṅgā and bathing there; the verse stresses the exceptional sanctity of tīrtha-purification and sincere religious merit.
A Siddha is instructing the listener by praising the unique spiritual fruit of Gaṅgā-bathing, contrasting it with common human pursuits (family lineage, riches, and routine works) to emphasize a higher religious value.
