The verse teaches that spiritual attainment is grounded not merely in physical austerity, but in ethical foundations—truthfulness (satya), non-violence (ahiṃsā), and humility (vinaya). When these virtues accompany disciplined tapas, success is said to come swiftly.
Ajadriya describes a model ascetic practice: a truth-bound, non-violent person goes to the Vindhya region, undertakes humble austerities while enduring bodily hardship, and is declared to achieve siddhi within one month—presented as an illustrative standard of effective, virtue-based penance.
