Shloka 12
पराक्रमैस्तेडपि तदा व्यघ्नन्नत्रिसुरक्षिता: । उद्धासितश्न सविता देवास्त्राता हतासुरा:
parākramais te ’pi tadā vyaghnaṁn atrisurakṣitāḥ | uddhāsitaś ca savitā devās trātā hatāsurāḥ ||
भीष्म उवाच— तदा अत्रिसुरक्षिताः देवाः अपि स्वपराक्रमैः शत्रून् व्यघ्नन्। उद्धासितश्च सविता, देवाः त्राताः, हताश्चासुराः। अत्रितपस्तेजसा दह्यमानान् तान् महासुरान् दृष्ट्वा, देवा निर्भयाः समुत्थाय दैत्यान् जघ्नुः; एवं तस्य तपोबलं धर्मरक्षणं च पराक्रमस्य सिद्धिं जनयामास।
