Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time
atha cen mānuṣe loke kadācid upapadyate | tatra dīrghāyur utpannaḥ sa naraḥ sukham edhate ||
The verse links the circumstances of human birth with auspicious results: when such a birth occurs (implying prior merit), it yields longevity and flourishing happiness, reflecting the ethical logic of karma and puṇya.
Maheśvara continues a doctrinal explanation about outcomes across births, stating that if the subject under discussion happens to be born among humans, that person becomes long-lived and prospers in happiness.
