Lord Vishnu (in dialogue with Garuda)
Concept: Prāṇa/Vāyu, abiding in the devotee’s heart, functions as an inner force that increases devotion to Viṣṇu; liberation is linked to the maturation of bhakti supported by inner vitality.
Vedantic Theme: Interdependence of antaḥkaraṇa (inner instrument) and bhakti: the subtle life-force steadies mind and devotion, enabling Godward orientation.
Application: Strengthen devotion through steady daily practice (nāma, pūjā, satsanga) while caring for prāṇa (regulated breathing, moderation, purity of habits) so the heart remains a fit seat for bhakti.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

This verse presents Vāyu as an inner power linked with ‘mukti’ (liberation), describing him as residing in the devotee’s heart and strengthening devotion to Viṣṇu.
Rather than describing external rites here, the verse highlights an inward path: when the life-wind (Vāyu) is established within, devotion to Viṣṇu grows, and that devotion is treated as a liberating force.
Cultivate steady Viṣṇu-bhakti with disciplined breath and mind (prāṇa-awareness, prayer, japa), aiming to keep the heart anchored in devotion rather than distraction.
