Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

FAQs

In this verse, Pradhāna is presented as a primary principle associated with the first manifestation of Vāyu, framing creation as an ordered emergence of fundamental tattvas.

By identifying Vāyu as a first principle, the verse points to the life-breath/subtle-force basis that underlies embodied existence—an essential backdrop for later Garuḍa Purāṇa discussions of the subtle body and post-death transition.

Treat prāṇa (breath, vitality) as sacred: cultivate disciplined living—truthfulness, restraint, and steady practice (e.g., mindful breathing)—to keep the life-force aligned with dharma.
