श्रीशुक उवाच—इत्युदीरितमाकर्ण्य देवर्षेरुद्धवोऽब्रवीत्। सभ्यानां मतमाज्ञाय कृष्णस्य च महामतिः॥
This verse highlights that Uddhava could grasp both the assembly’s view and Kṛṣṇa’s inner purpose, showing that close devotees learn to discern the Lord’s intention through devotion and wisdom.
After the divine sage (Nārada) spoke, Uddhava responded as Kṛṣṇa’s trusted counselor, aligning his reply with both the elders’ opinion and Kṛṣṇa’s plan.
Before speaking or deciding, hear guidance carefully, understand the stakeholders’ views, and align your response with higher principles (dharma) rather than impulse.
