The Dundubhi Episode and the Proof of Rama’s Prowess

Когда Сугрива говорил так, Лакшмана, улыбаясь, сказал: «После совершения какого деяния ты поистине поверишь в убийство Вали?»
Smiling, Lakshmana asked Sugriva, 'By what action will you trust?. By the fulfilment of which task (by Rama) will you have faith?'
Dharma in alliances includes establishing trust through verifiable action. Lakṣmaṇa asks for clear criteria—what proof will satisfy Sugriva—so the partnership proceeds on satya (truth) and accountability.
Lakṣmaṇa responds to Sugrīva’s apprehensions by asking what specific demonstration would convince him that Rama can indeed kill Vālī.
Lakṣmaṇa’s practical discernment: he channels doubt into a concrete request for evidence, strengthening truthful coordination.
