The Dundubhi Episode and the Proof of Rama’s Prowess
ततश्श्वेताम्बुदाकारः सौम्यः प्रीतिकराकृतिः।हिमवानब्रवीद्वाक्यं स्वे एव शिखरे स्थितः4.11.16।।
tataḥ śvetāmbudākāraḥ saumyaḥ prītikarākṛtiḥ | himavān abravīd vākyaṃ sve eva śikhare sthitaḥ ||
Тогда Химаван — кроткий, радующий взор, подобный белому облаку — стоя на собственной вершине, произнёс такие слова.
'Then the gentle Himavan of pleasing appearance stood in the form of a white cloud on the peak and spoke:
Dharma is aligned with calm authority: Himavān’s gentle, pleasing form signals that moral speech and restraint precede force.
The scene shifts from Dundubhi’s provocation to Himavān’s composed response from the mountain peak.
Composure (praśānti) and dignified restraint—Himavān appears serene even when confronted.
