देवान्‌ पितृन्‌ समुद्दिश्य तस्य धर्मफलं महत्‌ | एकस्मिन्‌ भोजिते विप्रे कोटिर्भवति भोजिता

Transliteration

devān pitṝn samuddiśya tasya dharmaphalaṁ mahat | ekasmin bhojite vipre koṭir bhavati bhojitā ||

Translation

Когда пищу даруют с намерением почтить богов и предков, плод дхармы становится безмерно велик. Если в таком духе накормить хотя бы одного брахмана, то это равно тому, как если бы были накормлены коṭи (десять миллионов) — столь велик дхармический плод этого деяния.
