वैशग्पायन उवाच
Thesāṃ kuśala-prashna (inquiring after others’ welfare) is presented as a mark of dharma and kinship-duty: one begins with concern for the safety of the righteous king and his companions, affirming social responsibility and mutual care.
Vaiśaṃpāyana reports that Yudhiṣṭhira and those connected with him—including the speaker and Yudhiṣṭhira’s brothers—are safe, directly answering someone’s inquiry about their condition.
