Transliteration

tān avekṣya kṛśān pautrān vane vanyenajīvataḥ

Translation

Увидев своих внуков исхудавшими — живущими в лесу на дикой пище, — Вайшампаяна рисует пронзительную картину, подчёркивающую тяготы изгнания и нравственную тяжесть, которую семья несёт в беде.
