Transliteration

anyathā vartamānānām artho jāto ’yam anyathā | durmantritam idaṁ tāvad rājño durdhṛtadevinaḥ ||

Translation

Исход оказался противоположен тому, к чему они стремились; смысл их деяний обернулся против их намерения. Это и впрямь был дурно задуманный замысел царя Дурьодханы — выношенный в кривом совете, — но он не достиг цели.
