वनप्रस्थानम् (Departure for the Forest) — Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 24
त्वमेव राजन् जानासि श्रेय:कारणमेव च । यत्रेच्छसि महाराज निवासं तत्र कुर्महे,राजन! आप ही श्रेय (मोक्ष)-के कारणका ज्ञान रखते हैं। महाराज! आपकी जहाँ इच्छा हो वहीं हमलोग निवास करेंगे
tvam eva rājan jānāsi śreyaḥ-kāraṇam eva ca | yatre cchasi mahārāja nivāsaṃ tatra kurmahe ||
Арджуна сказал: «О царь, лишь ты один знаешь, что поистине ведет к высшему благу — к самой причине освобождения (мокши). О великий царь, где пожелаешь, там мы и устроим наше жилище.»
