अग्निर्यश्न शिवो नाम शक्तिपूजापरश्न सः | दुःखार्तानां च सर्वेषां शिवकृत्‌ सततं शिव:

Transliteration

agnir yaḥ śivo nāma śaktipūjāparaś ca saḥ | duḥkhārtānāṃ ca sarveṣāṃ śivakṛt satataṃ śivaḥ ||

Translation

Маркандейя сказал: «Тот Огонь, что прославлен именем “Шива”, неизменно предан почитанию Шакти. Он непрестанно творит благо всем, кого терзает скорбь; потому и зовётся “Шива” — благодетельный».
