अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
आखयातस्ते मया चात्मा दुर्जेयो हि सुरासुरै:,ब्रह्मर्ष! इस प्रकार मैंने तुम्हें अपने स्वरूपका उपदेश किया है, जिसका जानना देवता और असुरोंके लिये भी कठिन है। जबतक महातपस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्माका जागरण न हो, तबतक तुम श्रद्धा और विश्वासपूर्वक सुखसे विचरते रहो
ākhyātaste mayā cātmā durjeyo hi surāsuraiḥ, brahmarṣe |
Божество сказало: «Ныне я открыл тебе мою истинную природу. Воистину, её трудно постичь — даже богам и асурам. Потому, о брахмариши (brahmarṣi), пока великий подвижник, владыка Брахма (Brahmā), не пробудится, пребывай спокойно, странствуй безмятежно, опираясь на веру и доверие».
