अहापयन्‌ पाण्डवार्थ यथाव- च्छमं कुरूणां यदि चाचरेयम्‌ | पुण्यं च मे स्थाच्चरितं महात्मन्‌ मुच्येरंश्न कुरवो मृत्युपाशात्‌

apāyan pāṇḍavārthaṃ yathāvacchamaṃ kurūṇāṃ yadi cācareyam | puṇyaṃ ca me syāc caritaṃ mahātman mucyeran kuravo mṛtyupāśāt ||

О великий духом! Если я смогу действовать так, чтобы законные интересы Пандавов не были ущемлены, и если сумею установить надлежащий мир между Куру и Пандавами, как того требует должное, то это моё деяние станет великим заслугой. И Куру тоже будут освобождены от петли смерти.
