Ulūka’s Message to the Pāṇḍavas

The passage highlights how rulers respond to defeat and reputation: a past loss can become a lasting political memory, yet it can also motivate reconstruction and statecraft. Ethically, it points to the tension between wounded pride and constructive action—transforming a site associated with dishonor into a center of renewed authority.
Vaiśaṃpāyana states that an excellent city named Bhojakaṭa was founded there. The accompanying context explains that this was the same area where Kṛṣṇa had earlier defeated Rukmī in battle; later, Rukmī established the city Bhojakaṭa in that very region.
