संनिधौ ते महाराज क्रोधजं पापबुद्धिजम्‌ । 'परंतु भारत! महाराज! आपके समीप मैं क्रोध अथवा पापबुद्धिसे होनेवाला यह निन्दित कर्म नहीं प्रारम्भ करूँगा

sannidhau te mahārāja krodhajaṁ pāpabuddhijam |

«Но, о потомок Бхараты, о великий царь, в твоём присутствии я не начну этого порицаемого деяния — рождённого гневом и исходящего из греховного умысла.»
