वस्त्र चैव विचित्र च गन्धं चैव विशेषत: । देववत् पूजयेत् तं तु विष्णुलोकमवाप्नुयात्
vastraṃ caiva vicitraṃ ca gandhaṃ caiva viśeṣataḥ | devavat pūjayet taṃ tu viṣṇulokam avāpnuyāt ||
Следует поднести тонкие пёстрые одежды и, особенно, благовония и почитать того чтеца, как почитают божество. Слушатель, поступающий так, достигает мира Вишну — тем самым показывается, что благоговение к священному учению и к его носителю само по себе есть заслугоносная дхарма, ведущая к благому уделу.
