स्वर्गे दुर्योधनदर्शनम् | Duryodhana Seen in Heaven

ये ते वीरा महात्मानो भ्रातरो मे महाव्रता: । सत्यप्रतिज्ञा लोकस्य शूरा वै सत्यवादिन:

ye te vīrā mahātmāno bhrātaro me mahāvratāḥ | satyapratijñā lokasya śūrā vai satyavādinaḥ ||

Вайшампаяна сказал: «Те герои — мои братья — были великодушны и тверды в великих обетах; мир знал их как верных клятве: поистине доблестных и преданных истине. Если же грешный Дурьодхана — не знавший даже имени дхармы, всю жизнь предававший всех доброжелателей земли; из-за чьей вражды погиб весь мир с конями, слонами и людьми, и в чьей мстительной ярости были опалены и мы — достиг этих вечных обителей героев, то каких обителей достигли ныне мои братья? Я хочу увидеть их. И я также хочу встретить великодушного Карну, сына Кунти, неизменно стоящего в правде».
