कलत्रमादित: कृत्वा सर्व वो विनशेदिति । अपि चेत् पुत्रदारार्थमर्थसंचय इष्यते
kalatram āditaḥ kṛtvā sarva vo vinaśed iti | api cet putradārārtham arthasañcaya iṣyate ||
Бхишма сказал: «Когда враги нападают, беда прежде всего обрушивается на жену и дом; и вместе с ними может погибнуть всё, чем вы владеете. Пусть накопление богатства и допускается ради защиты сыновей и жены, помните: в час бедствия именно те, ради кого собирали имущество, становятся первой точкой опасности. Потому следует с рассуждением взвешивать привязанность, защиту и осторожность.»
