Transliteration

ekāḍhvareṇāpi sambhūtaḥ śatrur durgam upāśritaḥ | sarvaṃ tāpayate deśam api rājñaḥ samṛddhinaḥ ||

Translation

Бхишма сказал: Даже малое вражеское войско, возникнув и укрывшись в крепости, способно опалить всю страну — даже страну богатого царя. Нравственное предостережение таково: небрежность в охране и управлении позволяет малым угрозам обернуться повсеместным страданием народа и государства.
