यो5सौ युगसहसान्ते प्रदीप्तार्चिविंभावसु: । सम्भक्षयति भूतानि तस्मै घोरात्मने नम:

Transliteration

yo 'sau yuga-sahasrānte pradīptārcir vibhāvasuḥ | sambhakṣayati bhūtāni tasmai ghorātmane namaḥ ||

Translation

Бхишма сказал: «Поклонение тому грозному Высшему Я, которое в конце тысячи юг, приняв образ пылающего огня разрушения с огненными языками, пожирает всех существ. Памятование об этом рождает смирение и нравственную сдержанность, ибо даже величайшая сила и сама жизнь подвластны космическому закону».
