नागैः सह ब्राह्मणस्य अतिथिधर्म-व्रतसंवादः | The Brahmin’s Vow and the Nāgas’ Hospitality Appeal
नर-नारायणने कहा--नारद! तुमने श्वेतद्वीपमें जाकर जो साक्षात् भगवान्का दर्शन कर लिया
Nara-Nārāyaṇa uvāca—“Nārada! tvayā Śvetadvīpaṃ gatvā sākṣād Bhagavān dṛṣṭaḥ; etena tvaṃ dhanyo ’si. Vastutaḥ Bhagavatā tvayi mahān anugrahaḥ kṛtaḥ. Tvatto ’nyena kenāpi, sākṣāt kamalayoniḥ Brahmāpi, evam-vidhaṃ Bhagavato darśanaṃ na labdham.”
Нара–Нараяна сказал: «Нарада, ты поистине благословен, ибо ты отправился на Шветадвипу (Śvetadvīpa) и узрел Господа непосредственно. Воистину, Господь явил тебе величайшую милость. Никто иной—даже сам Брахма, лотосорождённый,—не обрел такого прямого видения Господа подобным образом.»
नारद उवाच
Direct vision of the Divine (darśana) is not achieved merely by status or power; it is granted through the Lord’s grace (anugraha). The passage elevates humility and devotion by showing that even Brahmā’s eminence does not guarantee such an encounter, whereas Nārada receives it by divine favor.
Nara-Nārāyaṇa addresses Nārada and praises him for having gone to Śvetadvīpa and seen the Lord directly. They emphasize the exceptional nature of this event, stating that no one else— not even Brahmā—has witnessed the Lord in the same immediate way.
