शुकस्य वचन श्रुत्वा दिश: सर्वा: सकानना: । समुद्रा: सरित: शैला: प्रत्यूचुस्तं समन््तत:,शुकदेवजीकी यह बात सुनकर कानर्नोसहित सम्पूर्ण दिशाओं, समुद्रों, नदियों, पर्वतों और पर्वतोंकी अधिष्ठात्री देवियोंने सब ओरसे यह उत्तर दिया--
śukasya vacanaṃ śrutvā diśaḥ sarvāḥ sakānanāḥ | samudrāḥ saritaḥ śailāḥ pratyūcustam samantataḥ ||
Услышав слова Шу́ки, все стороны света вместе со своими лесами — а также моря, реки и горы — ответили ему со всех сторон. Вся природа, словно наделённая голосом и властью, откликнулась мудрецу, показывая, что нравственная истина не заключена лишь в человеческой речи, но отзывается в самом порядке творения.
