देवतापितृप्रश्नः — Nārada at Badarīāśrama: the ultimate referent of daiva and pitṛ worship
अथेमं दर्शनोपायं सम्यग् यो वेत्ति मानव: । सम्यक् स्वधर्म कृत्वेह परत्र सुखमश्लुते,जो मनुष्य परमात्माके साक्षात्कारके इस साधनको भलीभाँति जानता है, वह इस लोकमें स्वधर्मका ठीक-ठीक पालन करके परलोकमें सुख भोगता है
athemaṃ darśanopāyaṃ samyag yo vetti mānavaḥ | samyak svadharma kṛtveha paratra sukham aśnute ||
Вьяса сказал: Тот, кто по-настоящему знает этот верный способ обрести видение (осознание) Высшего Атмана и кто в этом мире правильно исполняет свой собственный долг, вкушает счастье в мире ином.
व्यास उवाच
Right knowledge of the method leading to direct realization, combined with proper performance of one’s own duty (svadharma) in this life, leads to well-being in the hereafter; the verse links inner realization with ethical conduct.
Vyāsa is concluding or reinforcing an instruction: he states the फल (result) of knowing the correct means to realization—namely, that a person who understands it and lives by svadharma gains happiness after death.
