शवगन्धमुपाघ्राति सुरभिं प्राप्पय यो नर:

śavagandham upāghrāti surabhiṁ prāpya yo naraḥ

Яджнявалкья сказал: «Если человек, достигнув благоуханного, всё же вдыхает смрад трупа, то в нём — извращённый вкус и ум, приученный к нечистоте. Учение же таково: отворачиваться от скверны и взращивать различение к тому, что здраво, благотворно и возвышает.»
